Thalassemia Awareness Session & Screening, May 2024

Thalassemia Awareness Session & Screening organised by the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology of Dinabandhu Andrews Institute of Technology and Management – DAITM, Kolkata in association with NRS Medical College and Hospital was organised at the Seminar Hall of the institution itself. The session began with the lamp lighting ceremony, followed by an inspirational speech by the revered President of Dinabandhu Andrews Institute of Technology and Management – DAITM, Kolkata, the much acclaimed linguist,author Professor Dr. Pabitra Sarkar. Our esteemed guest speaker,Professor Dr. Rajib De spoke of Thalassemia-its major concerns, challenges, preventive measures and the significance of awareness of the same. With the wholehearted participation of students and faculty members in the seminar and thereafter the screening programme proved to be a huge success.
